What's included in the free Community Edition?
The Community Edition includes the full POSIX-compliant filesystem with all four cloud storage backends (S3, GCS, Azure, Oracle), multi-tier caching, compression, and time-travel mounting. It's limited to 1 volume with up to 5 TiB of storage and 5 million files.
How do I upgrade from Community to Enterprise?
Contact sales@flexfs.io for an Enterprise license, then run the Enterprise installer on your Community server and choose to upgrade. It converts the installation in place — same infrastructure, same volume, same data, and running mounts keep working. The upgraded volume keeps its original settings, including no end-to-end encryption; new volumes can use every Enterprise feature, including encryption.
What cloud providers are supported?
FlexFS supports AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage. It also works with S3-compatible services like Wasabi and MinIO.
What are the system requirements?
FlexFS requires Linux with FUSE support. It ships as statically linked binaries with no library dependencies — no library conflicts. Mounts started without root also need the standard FUSE helper, which the mount installer adds if it is missing.
